Les Sofreres is a sheltered Costa Brava shore dive in Sant Feliu de Guíxols that works well for beginners and relaxed training sessions. The route is shallow and simple, with rocky seabed, Posidonia, and small ledges instead of coral, so the appeal is calm navigation and Mediterranean life rather than depth. Plan around weather because the bay is most comfortable on calm days, especially outside the windier winter periods. Expect seahorses, octopus, moray eels, nudibranchs, gobies, starfish, anemones, and the occasional crab or lobster.
