Guided Baltic wreck dive near Västervik, Sweden
Guided Baltic wreck dive near Västervik, Sweden
Prosper is a well-preserved schooner wreck in Spårösund outside Västervik, set in a fairway-adjacent strait with enough structure to make it a readable Baltic wreck dive. It suits divers who want a historic wreck with a clear outline underwater, but the exposed waterway means buoyancy, navigation, and SMB discipline still matter. Plan it as a guided boat or club dive and treat calm, low-traffic conditions as the cleanest version of the site.

Safety Notes
Carry an SMB, keep a tight navigation plan, and treat the fairway and narrow strait as live-traffic water.
Access Restrictions
Shore access is possible in some setups but discouraged; the fairway and currents make a guided boat or club plan the sensible default.
Legal Notes
Västervik's tourist and dive listings frame Prosper as a managed local wreck dive, so follow local traffic rules and operator guidance.

Scuba Diving
A guided Baltic wreck dive with clear structure, but enough current and traffic to reward steady buoyancy, navigation, and SMB discipline.
Freediving
Not a practical freedive target. The wreck depth, cold water, and traffic exposure make scuba the sensible choice.
Snorkeling
Not a snorkel site. The wreck is too deep and too exposed for a useful snorkel plan.
