Upper Comal River is a shallow spring-fed drift dive in New Braunfels. Divers enter on the short run below the Wurstfest grounds and drift downstream toward the Tube Chute, so the site is more about controlled river movement than covering distance. Runoff can cloud the water after rain, and peak tubing season adds surface traffic. Expect bass, bluegill, Rio Grande cichlid, blue tilapia, and spring vegetation rather than reef structure.
