Yankee Doodle Lake is a high-elevation lake (about 10,715 ft) in Colorado’s Roosevelt National Forest on the east side of Rollins Pass, set along a historic rail route. The area around the lake includes Guinn Mountain, which was used for mining beginning in the early 1870s. The lake is known for trout, including rainbow, brook, and cutthroat, and moose may also be seen in the surrounding area.
