Most fly-in visitors use Newcastle International Airport, approximately 80 km by road from Seahouses. A hire car or pre-booked transfer is the simplest solution for dive gear and early departures. Edinburgh Airport is a broader international alternative but requires a longer southbound transfer.
By rail, Chathill is the closest station at roughly 6 km, but service is limited and normally absent on Sundays. Alnmouth and Berwick-upon-Tweed have more regular trains; continue by taxi or the X18 and 418 bus corridor after checking the current timetable. Every Farne water activity then departs by boat from Seahouses Harbour. Reserve the boat before travel and arrive early for parking, ticket collection and loading.
A car is the easiest option for early boats, bulky kit and poor-weather alternatives, but Seahouses parking fills quickly in peak season. Park only in designated council facilities and allow time to walk gear to the harbour.
