Season planner for Isla Holbox

Holbox has warm water year-round, but the feel of the island changes with wind and rain. December to April is typically drier and breezier, while May to October is hotter with more rain and the highest tropical-storm risk. Whale shark snorkeling is a seasonal highlight during the regulated period (May 15 to September 17). Winter cold fronts can bring choppy seas and boat cancellations.
