Getting There

Fly into I Gusti Ngurah Rai International (DPS) near Denpasar. From south Bali, transfer to Sanur's modern fast-boat piers and ride to Penida's harbors (Toyapakeh, Banjar Nyuh, or Sampalan). Boats run throughout the day in good weather. In swell or on holy days, departures can be reduced or canceled. Pack valuables in a dry bag and expect spray.

Getting Around

On Penida there is no Grab or Gojek service. Options are scooter rental for confident riders, or hiring a local driver with car by half or full day. Roads can be steep, narrow, and patched; drive conservatively and avoid riding at night.
