When To Go

Season planner for Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos is warm year-round, with a distinct wind and rain rhythm. Trade winds are common from February to July, a transition period follows in July to September, and nortes (strong cold fronts) are most common from October to January. June 1 to November 30 is Atlantic hurricane season, with the highest storm risk typically late summer to early fall. Sargassum risk on Caribbean beaches is usually highest from spring through early fall, but daily conditions vary and reef trips may be less affected than open beaches.
