Fiji's soft-coral capital with a remote no-take reef at its doorstep

Most visitors reach Savusavu by flying internationally into Nadi, then taking a domestic Fiji Link connection to Savusavu Airport. Some itineraries use Suva as the domestic connection point, or fly to Labasa and transfer by road across Vanua Levu. Ferry options exist from Viti Levu to Vanua Levu, but they are slower, more weather-sensitive, and better for budget travelers with time than for dive travelers carrying tight schedules and heavy gear. Liveaboard guests may board elsewhere in Fiji and visit Namena as part of a broader route.
Savusavu town is compact and walkable, while resorts, dive centers, gardens, waterfalls, and the airport usually require taxis, resort transfers, rental cars, or arranged pickups. There is no rideshare-style system to rely on.
