Sonnstein is a very deep Traunsee wall dive with a steep freshwater face, attractive overhangs, and small grottos. It is a site for safe, experienced divers who are comfortable with depth, cold water, and disciplined buoyancy, with west-bank shore access that makes the entry straightforward for trained teams. Summer is usually the most comfortable window, while the wall itself stays about structure and atmosphere more than big wildlife.
