Bool Reef is a mixed coral-and-seagrass reef in Malapascua that works well for beginner training and night dives. Its patchy reef structure gives new divers room to settle buoyancy while still finding shrimp, crabs, eels, seahorses, lionfish, butterfly fish and flounder. Plan it as a calm local dive rather than a high-adrenaline profile, and keep buoyancy tight over the coral once the lights come on.
