Cascades

Shallow freshwater canal dive near the anchor park.

Shore-accessible, calm, and beginner-friendly, but it silts easily so slow finning and buoyancy control matter.

About Cascades

Cascades is a shallow freshwater canal dive in the old Canal de Soulanges near the Parc des Ancres anchor park. It is calm and easy to approach from shore, but the bottom silts quickly, so the route works best as a slow, controlled dive rather than a wide exploratory swim. Plan it as a beginner-friendly site where buoyancy and gentle finning matter more than current or depth. Early spring can bring salamanders, and the site also holds common freshwater fish.
