La Pared is a wall-style dive in the Catalina Islands off Costa Rica's northwest Pacific coast. A massive volcanic rock face gives the site its vertical profile, with shaded ledges and scattered reef growth that attract whitetip reef sharks, rays, octopus, moray eels, and dense schools of reef fish. The site is shaped by current and open-ocean swell, so the right day matters as much as the wall itself.
