About Taranto (Wreck)

The Taranto is the wreck of an Italian trading vessel built in 1899 and later used by the Italian navy to transport military supplies during wartime. It sank on 15 February 1943 and lies off the Dubrovnik area near Grebeni. The metal structure is encrusted with sponges, bryozoans, and anemones, and divers may see schools of mullet and cardinal fish while exploring around the wreck.
