The area offers multiple dive options, including a sheltered west side used for anchoring. One highlighted route is at the northwest cape, where a small cavern features colorful sponges around 22 m depth.

Samograd is the southernmost island in the Kornati area, with a wall running along the front of the island from south to north. The dive features a vertical profile with notable growth along the wall. Red fan corals begin around 22 m, and a small plateau at about 33 m is highlighted as a place to look for lobsters. Sulphur sponges can also be seen on the wall, with schools of fish found over nearby sea grass.

The wall runs around the island from southwest to southeast and can be followed as a contour route. Along the wall and beneath an overhang, divers can see gorgonians, with yellow colonies on one side and red on the other. The overhang and wall are heavily covered in red gorgonians.

The top forms a plateau with gentle, hill-like contours, offering a comfortable area for a safety stop and suitable anchoring. The terrain is comparable to the surrounding Kornati-style underwater landscape even though it is outside the national park.
