Žali Potok/Šekoda is a steep wall-and-cavern dive on the west side of Vis Island, built around the same underwater rock but offering two different routes. The shallower Žali Potok line follows the wall with your right shoulder and mixes overhangs, a small cave, and coral-covered ceilings with the kind of structure that makes the site feel dramatic without requiring extreme depth. It is the kind of Adriatic dive that rewards slow finning, good buoyancy, and a boat-based plan more than speed.

Depth Note
Žali Potok runs around 20-25m on the shallower wall, while Šekoda extends the same rock system down to about 43-45m and includes deeper cave sections.

Typical Conditions
Clear Adriatic wall dive with overhangs, a shallow cavern, and a deeper Šekoda variation; route choice matters more than flow.
Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Keep good buoyancy around overhangs and caverns, and monitor no-decompression time if you continue into the deeper Šekoda variation.
Access Restrictions
Boat access through a local Vis center is the normal route, and the deeper variant should be treated as a guided overhead dive rather than an off-the-beach swim.
Legal Notes
Archaeological remnants and military objects are part of the site and should not be disturbed or removed.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
