Beginner-friendly, calm and shallow cove edge; year-round regional diving.
Dive Spot Guide•
Anse de la Mauresque
Sheltered Port-Vendres shore dive on coralligenous rock.
Steep cove access, then a calm-day exploration along rocky coralligenous ledges; plan a tight surface return because boat traffic builds outside shelter.
About Anse de la Mauresque
Anse de la Mauresque is a Port-Vendres shore dive with a steep rocky entry into a coralligenous slope and crevices full of Mediterranean life. It works best on calm days because the cove opens quickly once you leave shelter, and the surface return needs extra care near active boat traffic. Inside the cove the dive stays relaxed, but once you move off the rocks the site feels less protected and the return should be planned conservatively.
