Cap Gros is a varied shore-accessed Port-Vendres dive area with shallow sections, seagrass beds, rocky drop-offs and coralligenous habitat. The site suits relaxed scenic dives and training outings, with a route that changes from open water to sheltered ledges and enough structure to make a longer loop. Marine life can include sponges, octopus, seahorses, conger eels, moray eels and barracuda, with red coral also mentioned in the local description.
