Les Petites Eponges is a large rocky plateau made of stacked boulders. The site sits in shallow water between about 6 and 10 m, with many cavities and holes throughout the rock formation. Marine life concentrates in these holes, with schools of sars as well as conger eels, lobsters, octopus, and many nudibranchs. Moray eels can also be seen here and are described as uncommon in the area.
