Green Outhouse is a boat-accessed wall dive on Roatan's west side, named for the old green outhouse that once sat on shore opposite the site. The mooring starts shallow on coral and sand, then heads out to a wall with canyons and a north-flowing current that keeps the site feeling lively. Expect a relaxed profile with good fish life, green morays, turtles, and plenty of smaller coral-reef detail on the way back into the shallows.

Reported Depth
6m+
Depth Note
The mooring is in about 20 ft of water; a sandy area around 50 ft leads into the wall and canyoning.
Best Season
Year-round, with April and May usually offering the best sea conditions.
Typical Conditions
Warm year-round water, a wall and canyon profile, and a current that usually runs north enough to keep the fish active.
Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Safety Notes
Stay aware of the current on the wall and use the shallower top as a conservative return point if conditions pick up.
Access Restrictions
Boat access only; the wall is better handled with a guide if you want to follow it deeper.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Often recommended as a drift dive and described as suitable for all levels.
Freediving
The shallow mooring and reef top can work for calm breath-hold looks, but the main route is better handled as a guided scuba dive.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is most useful on the shallow top and coral start; the wall and canyons are better appreciated underwater.
