Offshore Capo Milazzo shoal with rich coralligenous cover.
Managed-area access and offshore logistics make a local operator the practical choice.
Secca di Ponente is an offshore Capo Milazzo shoal with a broad, flattened top and a rocky slope cut by ravines, holes, and cave-like sections. The coralligenous cover is strong, with gorgonians, sea fans, and black coral on the outer side, while the fish scene brings barracuda, groupers, snapper, tuna, wrasse, morays, shrimp, and other Mediterranean reef life. It is best approached as a guided boat dive with steady buoyancy and a relaxed route along the shoal.
