Ito is a relatively new dive point off Tateyama on the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture. The site is described as a large, narrow reef area marked by buoys at either end, with fish movement influenced by the current. Divers can expect shark feeding activity with more than a dozen sharks appearing at once, along with stingrays and large groupers. Ocean sunfish are also reported as occasional visitors.
