Mellow Yellow is a Bligh Water pinnacle with yellow soft corals.
Current timing matters and the site is normally run by a local dive operator or liveaboard from Rakiraki.
Mellow Yellow is a Bligh Water pinnacle dive known for bright yellow soft corals and a second deeper stack that gives the site real shape. The dive rewards a well-timed current window, when the corals open and anthias and other reef fish fill the water column. Plan it as a boat dive from the Rakiraki side with a guide who knows the window and can keep the dive relaxed. Confident intermediate scuba divers will get the most from the color and the moving-water profile.

Site Conditions
Safety Notes
Use a guide who knows the timing, and treat the site as an open-water current dive rather than a sheltered reef. The right window matters more than brute force.
Access Restrictions
Boat access only; plan on a guided current dive rather than a shore entry.
Legal Notes
Vatu-i-Ra Conservation Park asks visitors for a voluntary FJ$15 annual contribution that supports park management and local education.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Guided scuba is the natural fit. The best runs are on the current-facing sides of the pinnacles, where the soft corals and fish stack up.
Freediving
Not a freedive-first site; the current window and deeper second pinnacle make it better for scuba than casual breath-hold outings.
Snorkeling
Not a casual snorkel site. The main attraction is on the pinnacles below the surface.
