Boat logistics, current sensitivity, and the drift/wall profile make local guidance the practical way to dive it.
Boat access, variable visibility, and current-sensitive walls make El Tigre better for confident divers than casual beach visitors.
About El Tigre
El Tigre is a Huatulco boat dive with walls, shallow pinnacles, and cavern sections that suit confident divers. Big snappers, occasional nurse sharks, and the wider Pacific marine mix make it a strong wildlife stop. The site is best approached with a local operator because drift, depth, and changing sea conditions can affect the day. Expect a more serious underwater profile than a casual shore swim.

Safety Notes
Keep clear of caverns unless the guide says otherwise, and expect current to be part of the plan. Use conservative gas and stay close to the group on wall sections.
Access Restrictions
Best done with a local operator and boat support; current and exposure make this a poor DIY choice.
Legal Notes
Follow Huatulco National Park and operator guidance, especially if marine conditions or access rules change.
