Tijningenplas Oost is a sheltered freshwater lake dive in Zaltbommel, Gelderland, known for its clay walls, submerged objects, and good density of freshwater wildlife. The site offers two shore entries — the south beach entry with a gradual slope is the most-used, while the north entry is steeper and less commonly dived. Underwater, a platform and small sunken rowboat sit near the south entry, and clay walls extend along the lake edge providing cover for eels, pike, carp, and perch. Visibility is typically modest through the upper water column with a thermocline layer before conditions improve below it; autumn generally brings the clearest water, while spring nights see active fish movement. Fishing lines are the main hazard — check the surface before descending near the reeds and be aware that anglers are not always visible from the water.
