About Home Point
Home Point is a Northland reef-finger dive where parallel fingers run out from the rocky point and slowly slope into deeper water. The site is more kelp-covered rocky reef than coral reef, with plenty of invertebrate life and fish moving through the fingers, gullies, and little channels. It is best approached as a calm-weather coastal dive, where the shallow start is easy to read but the wind, tide, and shoreline conditions still decide how comfortable the day feels.
