Sunshine Bay is a freshwater wall dive in Lake Whakatipu with steep terraced cliff faces and a fault-line profile that drops quickly away from the Sunshine Bay boat-ramp area. It is a planning-sensitive site because lake conditions can change fast, so the best dives are the ones done on still-water days with a careful buddy plan and respect for boat traffic.
