Love Island
Protected freshwater wall dive
Local operator required
Use a local boat operator and secure reserve permission before planning the dive.
About Love Island
Love Island is a protected Altai wall dive where a small island marks a steep freshwater drop-off into very deep water. It is a serious boat dive for experienced divers who want a long wall profile, rock structure and the possibility of stronger flow rather than a casual shallow session. The site is regulated, so plan it through the reserve and treat the ascent conservatively on a dive that can feel much bigger than the name suggests. Expect taimen, grayling, lenok, whitefish, pike, burbot and beavers in the colder northern water.
