About Woodhouse Reef
Woodhouse Reef is a boat-access drift dive on the longest of the main reefs in the Straits of Tiran. The reef is known for its vivid colors and a notable split through the middle. Currents can be strong, and extra care is needed toward the end of the reef where a turbulent “washing machine” effect can occur. Divers can expect typical Red Sea reef fish, with chances to see eagle rays, turtles, and large tuna; in summer, hammerhead and reef sharks may also appear.
