About Velké Košariská
Velké Košariská is a former gravel-pit lake near Bratislava that draws divers for clear freshwater, serious depth, and a local training scene. The site is less about scenic reef features than about a broad inland basin where you can move from shallow water into a much deeper lake profile. Visibility and comfort swing with weather and season, so it works best as a planned freshwater dive rather than a casual swim stop. Underwater life is modest but can include carp, perch, pike, catfish, tench, and other freshwater species.

Safety Notes
Because the lake is deep, plan gas and thermal protection conservatively. Visibility can swing quickly with weather and season, so do not assume the same conditions from one visit to the next.
Access Restrictions
Expect managed land access and check the current entry arrangement with the local operator before you go, especially if you are arriving outside a training day.
Legal Notes
Some local guides note an entry fee for the land and a shared use setup with anglers, so confirm the current access rules before entering.
