About Crosses
Shore-access kelp and reef dive near Rooi-Els on the False Bay east coast, with memorial crosses above the site and a sandstone ridge profile below. It suits calm summer planning, with kelp, gullies, and a mid-depth sand bottom that reward careful swell timing and an experienced shore-diving approach. The best dives come when the set cycle is steady and the exit route stays open.

Safety Notes
Watch the set cycle, avoid lingering in the surge zone, and keep clear of narrow gullies when the swell builds. Kelp can help with orientation, but it can also trap careless finning.
Access Restrictions
The shore entry is best only when the swell is low and the exit route is clear. Guided shore diving is the safer approach because timing matters.
Legal Notes
Follow local marine-protected-area rules and the usual no-touch, no-take approach for reef and kelp sites.
