Corsair is one of south Oahu's signature deep aircraft wreck dives, centered on a WWII fighter resting upright on the sand with enough preserved shape to make the silhouette instantly recognizable underwater. Divers come here for the wreck itself, but the site also works as a clean deep-water reef-and-sand dive where rays, turtles, and pelagic visitors can appear around the plane while the open bottom keeps the profile simple to read. This is an advanced boat dive rather than a casual wreck stop. The depth, occasional current, and the need for disciplined descent and ascent planning matter more than route complexity, so Corsair is best on calm days when visibility is good enough to enjoy the aircraft without rushing the dive.
