The stone cargo is still in place above and below decks, and the site includes a broken bow, fallen masts, and anchors visible among the bow wreckage. The vessel was a 137-foot, three-masted barkentine sailing ship built in 1852, and it sank while carrying paving stone cut from the Niagara Gorge.
