About This Dive Spot

The Indiana is an upright wreck resting in 90 ft (about 27 m) of water. The stone cargo is still in place above and below decks, and the site includes a broken bow, fallen masts, and anchors visible among the bow wreckage. The vessel was a 137-foot, three-masted barkentine sailing ship built in 1852, and it sank while carrying paving stone cut from the Niagara Gorge.
