About Lake Wazee, North Boat Ramp, Sherwood Forest
A former iron ore quarry lake with a broad shallow area and very deep sections toward the center and parts of the east end. Depths range from very shallow water to well over 150 ft, with a reported maximum around 335 ft. The Sherwood Forest area includes submerged trees, iron-rich rock and schist/mica features, multiple wooden fish cribs, a diver platform, and a large boat resting along the east wall.
