Vecki Reef is a boat-dive reef near the mouth of Apra Harbor, where a shallow reef flat tips onto a longer outer slope and the route often works best as a guided drift. Clear water and an open harbor-mouth position give the site a bigger-water feel than sheltered harbor reefs, with coral-covered structure, boulders, and enough blue-water exposure for pelagics to pass by. Turtles, octopus, blacktip reef sharks, barracuda, and dense reef fish life are regular draws, but the site is best dived only when current and traffic conditions line up with the captain's plan.
