Two shores, clear Adriatic water, protected wrecks and wine-country surface intervals
Overview
Korcula and Peljesac work best as a two-base, land-based dive trip. Around Lumbarda and eastern Korcula, short boat runs reach rocky reefs, walls, caverns and deep gorgonian plateaus such as Garden. Across the channel, Zuljana is the gateway to a concentrated set of wrecks, caves and walls, led by the legally protected S 57 torpedo-boat wreck. Local centers also support try dives, courses, shore dives and mixed-experience groups.
This is a seasonal Adriatic destination rather than a guaranteed year-round water trip. June and September usually give the best balance of warm water, operating schedules and manageable crowds; July and August are warmest but busiest and prone to afternoon wind chop. Non-divers get an unusually strong companion itinerary: Korcula Old Town, the Moreska sword tradition, Ston walls and salt pans, Mali Ston oysters, Grk and Plavac Mali wine country, beaches, cycling and hiking. Protected cultural sites must be dived through an authorized center.
Lumbarda and eastern Korcula emphasize reefs, walls, training and compact boat days; Zuljana and southern Peljesac add a denser wreck-and-cave program.
The S 57 torpedo-boat wreck is a distinctive advanced dive with preserved structure, but legal access is restricted to authorized centers and suitable diver categories.

Limestone walls, plateaus, caverns, boulder reefs, wrecks and seagrass create more terrain variety than the destination's beach-holiday reputation suggests.
Supervised try dives and entry-level courses coexist with deep reef, wreck, night and overhead options, so groups can separate by qualification and reunite topside.
