When to go
Late May to early October is the useful combined watersports season, with June and September offering the best balance of warm water, reliable local operations and fewer peaksummer pressures.
Best overall window
Warm, generally settled travel weather; sea commonly around 22°C to 25°C; strong ferry and operator availability without the highest crowd pressure.
Outside that window
Surface chop can add a little more texture on exposed entries.
Start with the overall answer, then switch only when scuba, freedive, snorkel, or topside timing changes the trip in a meaningful way.
