Fees · Destination Guide
Two shores, clear Adriatic water, protected wrecks and wine-country surface intervals
Key fee: Organized recreational diving through a registered center
Included in the operator's published dive price unless separately stated
Confirm these fees before you book so your operator plan and day budget match what you will pay onsite.
There is no destination-wide Korcula or Peljesac marine-park tag comparable to the fee systems used at some tropical reef destinations. Most visitors dive legally through a registered Croatian center, with ordinary organized-dive administration included in the operator's price. Independent leisure diving is a different category and requires an individual authorization from the competent harbour master's office. Protected underwater cultural sites, including designated wrecks, require an authorized center and site-specific legal framework. Accommodation also attracts Croatia's variable tourist tax, normally collected or administered by the lodging provider.

| Book directly with a registered Croatian dive center |
Use a center that is legally registered for organized diving and follow its roster, supervision and site procedures. Certification, medical declarations, equipment rental and specialty surcharges remain separate booking matters. |
| Individual authorization for independent leisure diving | EUR 318.53 1 year | Divers conducting independent leisure diving outside an organized registered-center program | Competent harbour master's office or branch office in Croatia | The Croatian government states that the individual dive area must be marked by an orange or red buoy at least 0.3 m in diameter or by a dive flag. At night, the buoy must carry a light visible from at least 300 m. Confirm the current procedure and any local navigation restrictions before relying on independent access. |
| Protected underwater cultural-site access | Included or itemized by the authorized operator; no universal visitor price For the authorized guided visit and permit period | Divers visiting protected wrecks or underwater archaeological locations such as S 57 | Only through a dive center holding the required authorization for the specific site | A general recreational certification or independent-diving authorization does not grant access to a protected cultural site. Confirm that the center's permission covers the intended location and obey no-touch, no-removal and route restrictions. |
| Tourist tax | Variable by municipality, season, accommodation category and traveler status Charged per eligible overnight stay | Overnight visitors, subject to Croatian exemptions and reductions | Normally collected or administered by the accommodation provider | Ask whether the tax is included in the quoted lodging total. The amount is not a fixed destination-wide dive fee and should be checked against the booking terms and current local rate. |
| Destination-wide marine park tag | Not applicable Not applicable | General recreational diving in this destination | No destination-wide tag identified for ordinary Korcula and Peljesac diving | This does not override protected-wreck permits, navigation controls, fishing or anchoring restrictions, or any site-specific rule. Always follow the operator and the competent Croatian authority. |
