When To Go

Season planner for La Paz (Baja California Sur), including Espiritu Santo

La Paz runs on two rhythms: wildlife seasons and wind. Water can range from about 20°C in winter to around 30°C in late summer. Fall and spring often balance comfort, visibility, and calmer seas. Winter brings cooler water and more wind events, but also peak wildlife like whale sharks. Late summer is warmest, with higher tropical-storm risk and seasonal sea lion closures at Los Islotes.
