When to go

Best time to visit Little Cayman

Little Cayman is diveable yearround, but the easiest allaround trip window is December to April, when the Cayman Islands are in their drier, cooler season and beach days are more comfortable.

Best overall window

December to April

Dryseason planning, cooler breezes, generally calmer beach days, and comfortable 26°C to 28°C water.

Outside that window

Hottest and wettest stretch, with 29°C to 30°C water, higher humidity, and tropicalsystem monitoring.

Choose your trip style

Start with the overall answer, then switch only when scuba, freedive, snorkel, or topside timing changes the trip in a meaningful way.

Always true for this destination
  • Storm Disruptions.
  • Surface chop can add a little more texture on exposed entries.
  • Late-year rain is usually brief rather than trip-ending.
Seasonal cautions
  • Jun to Nov: The official hurricane travel period runs June 1 to November 30, so build flexibility into flights and prepaid stays.
  • Jul to Oct: Hotter, wetter months make shade, hydration, and backup plans more important for non-divers.
