Getting There

Common approach is Luwuk [LUW] to Ampana by road, then boat to your base. Buka Buka sits 30-60 minutes by boat from Ampana and is handy for quick arrivals. From the north, the Gorontalo - Wakai overnight ferry connects into central islands. Always reconfirm schedules.

Getting Around

Boats move everything. On islands, expect walking paths and village tracks; resorts arrange inter-island hops.
