Sheltered Drvenik Veli bay for easy-water dives
Sheltered Drvenik Veli bay for easy-water dives
Blue Lagoon is a sheltered Drvenik Veli bay that works well for beginner dives, snorkeling and easy half-day water time. The underwater shape is simple: shallow sandy bottom with Posidonia patches and low rocky pockets, so the interest comes from relaxed exploration rather than big relief or depth. It is best approached by boat, and the main planning issue is heavy summer boat traffic rather than strong current; small fish, octopus and eels are the usual wildlife payoff.

Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Stay close to the boat or briefing area and keep a clear watch on passing traffic during the busy season.
Access Restrictions
Best treated as a boat-stop lagoon rather than a self-sufficient shore site; plan around the tour schedule and avoid the busiest swim lanes.
Legal Notes
No special site-specific restriction surfaced beyond standard Croatian boating and swim-zone rules.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
A comfortable beginner dive with an easy route through shallow water and soft bottom terrain.
Freediving
A good freedive stop on calm days because the lagoon stays shallow and sheltered.

Chill / Non-diver
A strong half-day chill stop for swimming, sun time and low-effort water sessions.
