Passe de Mato is an outer-barrier pass in the deep south that rewards confident boat divers. The site is defined by a wall and blue-water channel, with reef fish, macro life, and gorgonian growth on the structure. Pelagic life can move through the pass, but swell and tide make the site less forgiving than sheltered lagoon dives.
