Shore reef with canyon swim-throughs and dense fish life.
Pointe Ferry is a shore-accessed reef on the south side of Deshaies with multiple underwater canyons and a low coral wall. The site is fish-rich, with trevally passing through, and the reef is also strong on macro and small-structure detail. It is an easy place to enjoy on calmer days, but the current can change the dive quickly.

Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Keep the canyon line and exit in mind, and do not treat the shallow profile as a guarantee of easy conditions.
Access Restrictions
Shore access works best when current is light; some days the same canyons become much more demanding.
Legal Notes
Respect local beach access and operator guidance before entering from shore.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Depth range is shallow (about 3–17 m) with canyon swim-through terrain.
Freediving
Freediving can work on calm days along the shallow reef top, but the canyon line and current make scuba the better choice.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is feasible on the shallow edge and tends to be best when current is light; the canyon sections are better on scuba.
