A wide, broken-up barge wreck in Kefalonia with scattered sections to explore,,|
Barge Wreck & Cathedral is a large, broken-up barge wreck scattered across a broad area, giving divers plenty to explore. The site’s appeal is the scale of the wreck pieces and the way they spread out, creating a multi-level dive with points of interest across the site. Expect the main route to follow the scattered wreckage from the shallows out to deeper sections. In spring and autumn, very lucky dives may include sightings of loggerhead sea turtles that nest on Kefalonia’s beaches.

Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
The wreck is spread across a wide shallow area, which makes it a relaxed wreck dive with plenty to inspect at different depths.
Freediving
The shallow wreck edge is readable, but the site is primarily a scuba wreck dive.
Snorkeling
You can see the shallow top of the wreck from above, but the site rewards diving more than snorkeling.
