Old Bauxite Mine
This dive site sits beneath the old bauxite mines on the east side of the island and showcases remnants of the areaβs mining history. After a steep drop-off, the terrain levels into a plateau around 18 m where pieces of equipment used for loading bauxite onto cargo ships can be seen. The site is known for varied marine life, including scorpionfish, octopus, wrasse, triggerfish, and John Dory.
