The Maze is a boat dive in Utila known for reef channels that twist like a natural labyrinth. A shallow reef top opens into a longer cut with coral walls, darker pockets, and a sandy spillover toward the outer edge. It is easy to read when conditions are calm, but the exposed north-side setting makes the outer side less forgiving when wind or swell builds. Triggerfish, surgeonfish, lionfish, morays, and other small reef life are the main draw in the shadowed sections.

Best read as a guided boat dive through a maze-like reef channel with a clear shallow-to-deeper sequence.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is only realistic on the shallow top in calm conditions; the site is better suited to scuba.
