Jemeluk Wall

Bay-entry wall dive with coral growth and macro detail.

Jemeluk Bay gives the site an easier shore approach than many Bali entries, and calm mornings usually offer the cleanest visibility for following the reef down onto the wall.

About Jemeluk Wall

Jemeluk Wall is Amed's easy-access wall-and-reef dive, starting from the sheltered curve of Jemeluk Bay before dropping onto coral growth, sea fans, sponges, and a photogenic wall that suits long relaxed profiles. The site blends broad reef scenery with macro detail, so one dive can move from shallow coral and reef fish into nudibranch, pygmy seahorse, lionfish, and scorpionfish hunting along the wall.

Jemeluk Wall Planning Details

Depth range, seasonality, and planning context.

Reported Depth

5m - 30m

Depth Note

The upper reef starts in the shallows and leads to a wall commonly described around 5-30 m for ordinary recreational routes.

Best Season

Jemeluk Wall is dived year-round, with calmer seas and clearer visibility generally favored in the drier months from roughly May through November.

Typical Conditions

Usually mild current with good visibility in calm weather, especially on morning entries when Jemeluk Bay is settled and the wall can be followed without much surface disturbance.

Safety & Access At Jemeluk Wall

Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.

Safety Notes

The sheltered bay entry is usually straightforward, but the wall profile makes depth management more important than it is on Amed's flatter shallow reefs. Divers should also avoid dropping too quickly while stopping for macro subjects on the slope.

Local Intel For Jemeluk Wall

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba

A wall and sloping reef profile with abundant coral growth and macro photography opportunities.

Freedive

The shallow upper reef can work for calm-water freedive laps, but the site's main appeal is the transition from the reef edge down onto the wall rather than a pure shallow training line.

Snorkel

Snorkelers can enjoy the shallow reef and bay side of Jemeluk Wall in calm conditions, though the deeper wall itself is better appreciated on scuba once the reef drops away.
