Akehama is a scenic coastal area in western Ehime Prefecture featuring a rias-style shoreline and a fine white sand beach around 300 m long. The site is described as offering a wide variety of marine life, ranging from small macro subjects to larger resident and migratory fish. Common sightings include damselfish and multiple nudibranch species, along with tropical fish. In summer, green squid spawning can also be observed.
