About Maafaru

Maafaru is a relaxed boat-dived reef on the north side of a nearby island, reached by a short transfer from the local base. The reef top is very shallow and drops to a sandy or reef base, with healthy coral that rewards slow passes for macro life rather than fast wide-angle swimming. Nudibranchs, snappers, lionfish, and seasonal reef manta sightings keep the site lively for both scuba and snorkel days.
